These are the founding elements of Ca’ Neva. Simple, genuine and traditional principles which guide every step of the daily work carried out by Marco and Fabrizio, founders of the winery founded in 1995 and located in Friuli Venezia Giulia.
“Caneva” in our local dialet means “Cellar”. The cellar is indeed the magnificent place where our fathers stored the wines throughout the years. Their family values are still crucial and are the pillars of our enlarged vision.
Where we areThe Territory
On the border between Veneto and Friuli Venezia Giulia lay the 25 hectares vineyards of Ca’ Neva, on the foothills of the Alps, where we find the ideal soil for the vine particularly rich in minerals and gravelly glacial sediments, important draining agents.
The vineyards are located in a very peculiar area of the region, named Alto Livenza, which name is inspired by the Livenza river that flows in the surrounding areas. The typical microclimate is particularly beneficial to the vines as its diurnal range guarantees the optimal ripening of the grapes, maintaining the aromas and freshness.
Our PassionThe Wines
Ca’ Neva wines are young and vibrant, yet honest to the true essence of the terroir they come from. Care and devotion for the vine are translated by Marco and Fabrizio in a production which is never invasive, with only hand harvested grapes and attentive temperature controlled fermentation, which is initiated by selected yeasts that enhance the natural character of the grapes. Moreover, thanks to investments and commitments targeted to the most recent and sophisticated biotechnologies, an entirely brand new organic range of white and red wines will be soon launched.
